Trends, tips and timely stats — Week 10

  • Heading into their game in New Orleans, the Colts have won and covered 3-of-4 on the road, scoring 30-plus points in each of the victories. … The Saints have lost their last two home games straight up and against the spread.
  • As they prepare for their game in Pittsburgh, the Jaguars have won and covered 5-of-6 vs. the Steelers. … Pittsburgh has rushed for more than 200 yards in four of its last six games.
  • Going into their game vs. the Dolphins, the Jets have won seven straight contests vs. Miami (6-0-1 vs. the pointspread).
  • Heading into their game in Oakland, the Chargers have covered three straight (1-2 straight up) vs. the Raiders. All three games were decided by three points or fewer.
  • Looking ahead to their game vs. the Redskins, the Broncos have covered their last seven (6-1 straight up) vs. NFC opponents. Five of Denver’s last six games vs. NFC foes have gone over the total. The Broncos have scored 31 points or more in each of those six games.
  • The Bears have lost five straight games at Tampa Bay (1-4 against the number). Four of the five games have gone over the total. … Chicago has won three of its last four games straight up as an underdog. … The Bears, who gave up 17 points or fewer in their first five games, have surrendered 20 points or more in their last three contests.
  • Going into their game in Green Bay, the Falcons are 3-0 vs. the spread on the road. … The Packers are 4-0 straight up (3-1 against the number) at home.
  • Heading into their game in Baltimore, the Browns have a chance to sweep a division rival for the first time since rejoining the league. … Cleveland has allowed more than 16 points just twice this season. … Baltimore has not scored more than 18 points in its last four games.
  • As they get ready for their game in Arizona, the Lions have won and covered their last three vs. NFC East teams, not counting a wild-card playoff loss to Washington in 1999. … Detroit has surrendered at least 20 points in every game this season. … Arizona has scored a total of 20 points in its last three games combined.
  • Going into their game in Dallas, the Eagles have held their last three road opponents to nine points or fewer.
  • Through eight games, the Cowboys have had 14 different players run the ball, scoring just two TDs (none by a running back).
