QB Donovan McNabb
Philadelphia Eagles
There were more gaudy statistics posted last week, but McNabb’s performance in the
clutch gave him the nod. He completed 21-of-39 passes for 270 yards, three touchdowns and
one interception in rallying the Eagles to a dramatic win over the Giants to give
Philadelphia its first divisional title since 1988. He also rushed for 48 yards on six
carries. |

LB Derrick Brooks
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Not only did Brooks register 15 tackles and break up three passes in the
Buccaneers’ solid defensive performance against Baltimore, he also stepped in front
of an Elvis Grbac pass and returned it 53 yards to the one-yard line. The Bucs took
advantage, punching it in for a touchdown in the 22-10 win. |

PK Rian Lindell
Seattle Seahawks
Lindell connected on just one field goal the entire day, but it was a big one. After a
long kick return provided an opportunity, Lindell made it happen, connecting on a 54-yard
field goal as time expired to lift Seattle over the Chargers and keep the Seahawks alive
in the playoff race. |
