Minnesota Vikings
Bouman, a little-known fourth-year backup, stepped in for Daunte Culpepper and had
quite a day for the Vikings, completing 21-of-31 passes for 348 yards, four touchdowns and
one interception in Minnesota’s rout of Tennessee. |

FS Brian Dawkins
Philadelphia Eagles
The ball-hawking Dawkins did some damage against the Chargers in Philadelphia’s
24-14 win. He recorded 10 tackles, two passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble
recovery which he returned 49 yards for a touchdown. |

P Brad Maynard
Chicago Bears
Maynard has quietly become an effective force for the Bears, and his directional
kicking skills and placement were on display in a loss to the Packers. Maynard’s
seven punts averaged only 39.4 yards, but he continually put the Packers in difficult
positions by landing all but one punt inside the 20-yard line. |
