Tumor discovered on Butler’s lung

A key piece to the puzzle during the rise of the Bills and now in the midst of a massive resurrection project with the Chargers, general manager John Butler revealed that he is entering a bout with cancer after doctors discovered a tumor on his lung. Butler is widely regarded as a personnel whiz and a respected gentleman.

Buchsbaum: The entire football world is shocked by the news that Butler has a tumor on his lung. Butler has long been regarded as one of the NFL’s finest scouts and general managers. An excellent talent evaluator with a good sense for people and chemistry, Butler is one of the best in the business at what he does. Everyone is so shocked because Butler, as good as he is as a football man, is an even better human being. Almost everyone who knows Butler likes him and many love him. Everyone is praying for Butler’s complete recovery.

Keyshawn, Sapp back at it

Their conflicting nature boiled into a vocal war after the Buccaneers were bounced from the playoffs by the Eagles last season. Keyshawn Johnson, the brash wide receiver who has never allowed his team’s needs to get in the way of his personal well-being, and Warren Sapp, the giant, motor-mouth defensive tackle just can’t seem to get on the same page.

Buchsbaum: Once again, Johnson and Sapp are feuding. Both consider themselves leaders — the problem is neither player is a leader. Both are immature young men who let their egos get in the way of better judgment and love to call attention to themselves. While both are tremendous football players, they can also help to undermine a football team with their actions. If they were leaders, they would lead by example and set the tone for the rest of the team instead of pointing fingers, feuding and acting like children.
