Matchups to exploit or avoid

Teams on bye: New England PatriotsMatchups to exploit
Raiders WR Tim Brown has caught five TD passes in his last three games
against the Raiders, including two in the teams' first meeting this season.
Jets RB Curtis Martin is red hot, and in his previous meeting with
Buffalo, he tore up the Bills' defense for more than 100 yards and two touchdowns.
Packers RB Ahman Green has a terrific matchup against the Vikings,
whose run defense has been brutal the last several weeks.
Stick with Dolphins WR Chris Chambers, who should be able to exploit a
Falcons defense that has allowed among the most TD passes in the league.
Matchups to avoid
Bengals RB Corey Dillon should come back to earth against the
Steelers' vaunted run defense, which has been ranked at or near the top of the league all
year.
The Giants may be trying to make RB Tiki Barber their featured weapon,
but he figures to have little success against the Eagles' swarming defense.
Falcons QB Chris Chandler is coming off a huge game, but he should run
into problems against a desperate Dolphins team and its tough pass defense.
Colts RB Dominic Rhodes might not be the best play against the Rams,
who boast a solid run defense. Of course, St. Louis' high-octane offense is partly a
reason for that. |
