Tom: I have to decide whom to start between Dominic Rhodes and Tiki Barber for the playoffs this weekend. My other back is Anthony Thomas. Any advice would be helpful!

Fantasy Doctor: Although Tiki Barber has put up decent yardage numbers recently, he’ll be going up against a tough Eagles defense in a crucial game for Philadelphia. Rhodes has had three 100-yard games in his last five and five touchdowns to boot over that span.

Craig: I seem to have the same problem every week, with this week being no different except that the stakes are higher. I have to decide on three RBs and three WRs of the following players:

RB: D. Rhodes, S. Mack, E. George and K. Barlow
WR: D. Boston, T. Holt, K. Dyson and J. Thrash

I ALWAYS start Boston and Holt, but who should I use this week for my third WR? And who are the best three RBs to start this week? Thanks.

Fantasy Doctor: I would leave Barlow out of the mix. I like the rookie, but he is the one on the list who isn’t a starter, and with Skip Hicks bothered by a bad hamstring and Jeff Fisher looking to get him past the 1,000-yard mark, George could get a fair share of carries. I like Thrash as your third wideout because Jason Sehorn is out for the Giants. Keep an eye on Thrash’s ankle and rib problems though.

Bob: I have M. Harrison & J. Horn who I don't want to sit down. Then I have to pick from K. Johnson, K. Dyson and I. Bruce, and I never know what he will do from one week to the next. Please tell me who my starters should be. Thank you.

Fantasy Doctor: True, Bruce is up and down, but I’d have to commit you for testing and a possible lobotomy if you don’t start him against the Colts’ defense. Even in my doctor’s coat, I think I could catch a few passes against that secondary.

Tony: Is Desmond Clark going to play, and if I have Clark and Ernie Conwell, which one should I play?

Fantasy Doctor: Play Clark. His groin injury hasn’t held him back in practice this week, and the WR problems haven’t gone away in Denver, meaning he should get a lot of looks from QB Brian Griese.

DStein: On Sunday, Dec. 23, the Bears scored a touchdown from a field-goal formation. Is this considered an offensive or special-teams touchdown? NFL.com considers this an offensive touchdown. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Fantasy Doctor: This has been a popular question on the Fantasy Doctor’s docket of messages this week. It is the belief of my esteemed associates and I that it should serve as an offensive touchdown. The only special-teams touchdowns come by way of returns and blocks in the Pro Football Weekly handbook of fantasy football. I can understand the confusion, but regardless of the fact the punter was on the field and the fact they were in a punt formation, it is an offensive touchdown for the Bears.

Josh: Dr. Doctor, I need help at my No. 2 RB slot. I am set at No. 1 with Anthony Thomas, but with my second running back I need help. I have Kevan Barlow, Bob Christian, Shawn Bryson and Mike Anderson. Help is needed here. Please advise me! Thanks in advance.

Fantasy Doctor: You're welcome, in advance. I think Bryson is your way to go here. The other three will be limited in their touches, but with Travis Henry’s knee injury set to keep him out of action this week, Bryson emerges as the guy in Buffalo, and he showed he could gallop in the open field last week.

Jimmy T: I need help, because I have been falling in the standings and in danger of not finishing in the money. My receivers are the cause, and now I need to make a decision. Should I start Toomer instead of one of my three starters: Boston, Keyshawn Johnson and Tim Brown? I am in a yardage and touchdown league. Thanks for your help.

Fantasy Doctor: Don’t you dare. The Eagles have one of the best secondaries in the league outside of Miami, just waiting for Toomer & Co. Even though Brown has slipped the past few weeks and Keyshawn gets in the endzone about every 90 catches or so, I think those three should be the least of your concerns when it comes to trying to finish in the money.

Aldo: Aaron Brooks helped get me to the playoffs with his hot play the last few weeks. I picked up Kordell Stewart a few weeks ago as insurance. Now in Week 16, should I give Stewart the start? I'm in a yardage/TD league with bonus points for completions.

Fantasy Doctor: I’m not sure what kind of league has Kordell Stewart available on the market late in the season, but it was a good pickup. It’s a close call, but I may lean toward Kordell here because of the fact he’s a bigger rushing threat, he seems to be getting better as the year progresses and the Bengals’ secondary has three of its top corners on injured reserve.

Bulldog: I need your help. It looks like I have lost my quarterbacks Cullpepper, Bouman (team quarterbacks) in my fantasy league. My other quarterback is Alex Van Pelt, who I am not excited about for next week's game. I can pick up one of these: Jake Plummer, Mark Brunell or Kerry Collins for this week’s games. Who would you recommend for this week's starting quarterback? Thanks.

Fantasy Doctor: I would expect Bouman to gut it out with his sore thumb, but I would probably shy away from starting him at Green Bay with the weather, the turmoil on offense, etc. Plummer, in my mind, is the way to go because he’s facing the menacing Panthers and their 29th-ranked pass defense.
