Week Six

PFW Players of the Week

As published in print Oct. 9, 2000

Offense

WR Tim Brown
Oakland Raiders

As if Brown didn’t do enough in the first 60 minutes, he managed to do a little more in overtime. Brown finished with seven receptions for 172 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning 31-yard TD catch from Rich Gannon to beat the 49ers 34-28.

Defense

DE Trace Armstrong
Miami Dolphins

Armstrong’s siege on opposing passers continued in Week Six. The 12th-year veteran registered six tackles, 3½ sacks and two forced fumbles in Miami’s 22-13 victory over AFC East rival Buffalo.

Golden Toe
PK Matt Stover
Baltimore Ravens

Nailing all five FG attempts brings Stover back to this spot for the second straight week. The Ravens couldn’t reach paydirt at Jacksonville, but it didn’t matter, as Stover connected from 47, 32, 43, 21 and 24 yards out to provide all the offense in the 15-10 win.
