PFW Players of the Week
Week Eight

Offense

Terrell Davis
Denver Broncos

Davis carried 31 times for 136 yards and three TD’s in Denver’s win over Jacksonville. He became only the third rusher in NFL history to reach 1,000 yards in just seven games, joining Jim Brown and O.J. Simpson.

Defense

Kevin Mitchell
New Orleans Saints

Mitchell finished with 10 tackles, including seven solos, in New Orleans’ 9-3 win over Tampa Bay. Mitchell also forced a fumble and sacked Trent Dilfer for a six-yard loss on a key fourth-quarter play in Saint territory.

Golden Toe

Jason Elam
Denver Broncos

Despite big weeks for a number of kickers, Elam takes the prize for his record-tying, 63-yard field goal in Denver’s win. He also connected from 31 and 32 yards.
