Niners’ 36-30 overtime win over the Jets. His breathtaking, 96-yard TD run about four
minutes into overtime won it for San Francisco. Hearst averaged 9.4 yards per carry. |

What didn’t Thomas do? In the Chiefs’ 28-8 win over Oakland,
Thomas recorded six sacks for 36 yards in losses, nine solo tackles and a forced fumble.
He also predicted and followed through with a safety of Jeff George in the closing
