Week Eight power rankings

By Andy Hanacek, Associate editor and XFL analyst

  1. Los Angeles Xtreme (6-2, last week No. 1) — By the slightest of margins. I still think the Xtreme win it all with a healthy Maddox.
  2. Orlando Rage (7-1, last week 2) — The Titans had the best record in the NFL, and they didn’t win it all either.
  3. Las Vegas Outlaws (4-4, last week 3) — Coordinate, people! One week the defense is good; the next week it’s the offense.
  4. San Francisco Demons (4-4, last week 5) — I told you Mike Pawlawski would be good again.
  5. Chicago Enforcers (3-5, last week 6) — Say it again with me, mo-men-tum. Oh, and also Av-er-y.
  6. New York/New Jersey Hitmen (3-5, last week 5) — Just when Wally Richardson was doing well, he gets hurt.
  7. Memphis Maniax (3-5, last week 7) — Jim Druckenmiller missed the flight home trying to convince the Niners he was good again.
  8. Birmingham Bolts (2-6, last week 8) — Did I once say this offense was ready to explode? Yeah, I meant implode.
