Week Five power rankings

By Andy Hanacek, Associate editor and XFL analyst

1. Orlando Rage (5-0, last week No. 1) — Still at the top. Can’t vote against them, really.

2. Los Angeles Xtreme (3-2, last week No. 3) — Tommy Maddox is looking better and better each week. He said the dry weather was like being a kid in a candy store. Well, Tommy, enjoy the pickings, because I’m betting on not-so-dry weather most of the season.

3. San Francisco Demons (3-2, last week No. 4) — Is it possible that Mike Pawlawski played as Pat Barnes this week?

4. Las Vegas Outlaws (3-2, last week No. 2) — Rude awakening in Chicago might just help them straighten out. If not, head coach Jim Criner can just change his QB.

5. Memphis Maniax (2-3, last week No. 6) —If not for Rashaan Salaam, this team would be sixth.

6. Birmingham Bolts (2-3, last week No. 5) — Sliding É sliding É

7. Chicago Enforcers (1-4, last week No. 8) — Was Touchdown Jesus in attendance, because Kevin McDougal sure played well?

8. NY/NJ Hitmen (1-4, last week No. 7) — Yeah, guys, you beat the other worst team in the league. Don’t get all excited now.
