Week Four power rankings

By Andy Hanacek, Associate editor and XFL analyst

There’s a clear-cut No. 1 now, Orlando, and a clear-cut No. 8 as well in Chicago. The quality of play seems to be getting better and better in most teams, and this week it seemed as though the offenses caught up to the defenses in many cases.
  1. Orlando Rage (4-0, last week ranked No. 1) — This well-rounded team is looking unbeatable right now, but we’re not halfway through the season yet, so don’t hold your breath.

  2. Las Vegas Outlaws (3-1, No. 3) — A plus-12 turnover ratio will get you far in any football league. Even with Mark Grieb.

  3. Los Angeles Xtreme (2-2, No. 4) — Paging the Los Angeles Coliseum grounds crew …

  4. San Francisco Demons (2-2, No. 5) — Barnes’ performance makes you wonder what Pawlawski might’ve done with a full second half.

  5. Birmingham Bolts (2-2, No. 2) — Didn’t even play the Rage closely. Their game made the Hitmen-Enforcers game look interesting.

  6. Memphis Maniax (2-2, No. 6) — In a bottleneck, someone’s got to be the one tailgating at the back of the line.

  7. NY/NJ Hitmen (1-3, No. 8) — Let’s see the New York fans try to make clever signs about benching Richardson.

  8. Chicago Enforcers (0-4, No. 7) — Fans saw the Bears’ logo showing through at midfield and thought they were booing Cade.
