Saints to release Poole
Saints WR Keith Poole will be cut after June 1 in a move that will save the team
$825,000 toward the salary cap. Poole was told not to show up for workouts.
PFW: What are your thoughts on this move?
Buchsbaum: He’s a journeyman receiver, he’s overpaid for what he’s
worth, and he never fit in with the new system.
PFW: For teams that are looking at him, what are the pros and cons?
Buchsbaum: He’s got decent size, decent deep speed and average ability to
separate. A lot of averages here.
Lions sign CB Bailey
The Lions signed free agent CB Robert Bailey, who had played for the Lions from 1997 to
’99 before joining the Ravens last year. He started 11 games for the Lions in
’99.
PFW: What are your thoughts on this signing?
Buchsbaum: He’s a fourth corner, maybe even a third corner for them. He’s a
tough, feisty little guy, doesn’t have a lot of size or speed. He believes in himself
and is very confident and cocky. |
