Talent pool shallow in New England

Personnel experts from around the league were asked which NFL teams have the least amount of talent, and some of their answers may surprise you.

1. Patriots — "When they played the Jets on Monday night (in Week Two), they had (only) five players who could have started for the Jets, and while the Jets are a pretty good team, they are not a powerhouse."

2. 49ers — "Getting younger and better, but they still have a long way to go. Like the Patriots, they are paying a stiff price for some ill-advised long-term investments that are killing them under the cap."

3. Browns — "This may not hold after this year. Drafted much better in Year Two than in Year One and got rid of many of the stiffs they brought in last season."

4. Steelers — "Most of their really good players are on the downside, and a lot of their young players are still unproven."

5. Chargers — "Cover up weak players with a few great players on defense, but on offense they have very few weapons and an unproven line."
