Titans DE Jevon Kearse

| Few defensive rookies have made the
kind of impact that Jevon Kearse made for the Titans last season. Kearse, the 16th
overall pick in ’99 out of Florida, led the league with 10 forced fumbles and had
14.5 sacks while playing left defensive end for Tennessee. ProFootballWeekly.com asked
contributing editor Joel Buchsbaum about how Kearse might fare in 2000.
Q: In what areas do you think the Titans will try to get Kearse to improve in 2000?
Buchsbaum: Strength, stamina and movement.
Q: Will they expand his role or stay with the status quo?
Buchsbaum: I think they’re best off staying close to the status quo, but they will
expand it.
Q: What is the scouting report on him at this point in his career?
Buchsbaum: He’s a superior athlete with great movement skills. |
