Mo Lewis’ re-signing with the Jets
|
| LB Mo Lewis, whom the Jets had
previously designated as a franchise player, has re-signed with the team, accepting a
one-year deal reportedly worth about $4 million. Lewis has gone to the Pro Bowl the past
two seasons.
"Today is as significant as Draft Day, because today the status of a proved Pro
Bowl-level performer has been solidified on our team," Jets head coach Al Groh said.
"Mo has a great appetite to win and a tremendous capacity for work. Combine those
qualities with his play-making ability, and it makes me very happy to see Mo."
ProFootballWeekly.com asked Buchsbaum to go into greater detail on this subject.
Q: What is the scouting report on Lewis at this point in his career?
Buchsbaum: He declined terribly last year, but you don’t know if it’s just an
off year or his age.
Q: What were the things that weren’t there last year that had been the year
before?
Buchsbaum: Great, quick hand use and explosiveness.
Q: If you were to predict, do you think he can get it back?
Buchsbaum: If he works hard, yes. |
