You make the call

PFW turns over its "In Our Opinion" section to its readers

By Ron Pollack, Editor-in-chief

If you clicked onto this column, you were in the "In Our Opinion" section of the Pro Football Weekly Web site.

As editor-in-chief, I have decided to let the Web surfers of the world storm our gates and take over for a day. Thus, "In Our Opinion" is being changed to "In Your Opinion" for today.

Here’s the reason why:

We are in the process of finishing up our preview magazine and fantasy football magazine, both of which will be available for sale later this summer on local newsstands.

An amazing thing took place today as we were starting to try to decide who our Super Bowl pick will be for our preview magazine. I asked our editors to predict each division’s order of finish and also predict a Super Bowl winner.

It was on the Super Bowl prediction that something really jumped out at me. Of the six editors who have voted so far, all six predicted different Super Bowl winners. And none of those votes went for Tampa Bay, a team that I suspect will have some support with Super Bowl prognosticators. The teams that have received one Super Bowl-winning vote each so far are Green Bay, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, St. Louis, Tennessee and Washington.

What this clearly says is that this year’s Super Bowl is as wide open as it has ever been.

So this is where you the reader comes into play. We want your opinion on who you think will win the Super Bowl.

So e-mail us with your predicted Super Bowl winner and your reason in 25 words or fewer. We will post the results and some of the reasons at a later date.

Our e-mail address is: editors@pfwa.com

On the subject line, please mark your letter: Super Bowl pick
