Trends, Tips and Timely Stats — Week 17

  • If the Jets beat the Seahawks and the Patriots beat the Ravens, every team in the AFC East will finish .500 or better.
  • With a win over the Steelers, the Titans will be the first team ever with nine regular-season wins over division opponents.
  • The Titans have recovered the most fumbles (21) this season, but the Steelers have lost the fewest fumbles (4).
  • Heading into their game in Denver, the Chargers have covered their last three road games and are 5-2 vs. the spread away from home.
  • Going into their game vs. the Cardinals, the Packers are 2-5 vs. the spread at home.
  • Heading into their Monday-night game in Atlanta, the 49ers have lost their last five road games by 14 or more points and are 1-6 straight up and vs. the spread away from home.
  • Going into their game in Washington, the Dolphins are 0-3 straight up and vs. the spread in their last three road games and were outscored 71-23 in those contests.
  • The last five meetings between the Lions and the Vikings in Minnesota have stayed under the total.
  • Heading into their important game vs. the Giants, the Cowboys have won seven straight regular-season games at home vs. NFC East rivals, covering the pointspread six times.
  • In seven of their last nine trips to Kansas City, the Raiders have scored nine or fewer points (only 11 total points in their last three games combined). The Chiefs have won and covered the last seven meetings in Kansas City.
  • The Raiders have lost their last three on the road straight up and vs. the spread.
  • Heading into their game vs. the Seahawks, the Jets have given up a total of 66 points in their last five home games. The Seahawks have scored 21 or more in their last four road games. The Jets have also been scoring, putting up 22 or more points in their last four games.
