Trends, tips and timely stats — Week Six

• The Raiders' game at Buffalo is Oakland's fourth road game but the first to be played outdoors (games at Green Bay, Minnesota and Seattle were played in domes). The Raiders have covered the pointspread in their three previous road games this season.

• The Seahawks have won five straight games vs. the Chargers, covering the pointspread four times.

• The Panthers have covered five of their last six games against San Francisco.

• Panthers TE Wesley Walls has caught a TD pass in each game this season and has eight TD catches in his last eight games.

• Panthers WR Muhsin Muhammad is seeking his fourth consecutive 100-yard receiving game.

• The Redskins and Cardinals have gone over the total in six of their last seven meetings.

• As a home underdog vs. the Steelers the last three years, the Bengals have won straight up twice.

• The Colts have won and covered three of their last four road games vs. the Jets.

• Watch for another tight game between Miami and New England. The Dolphins and Patriots have been playing a lot of close games lately. This season Miami has had 3-of-4 games decided by five points or fewer, while the Patriots have had 4-of-5 decided by three points or fewer. The last four regular-season games between these two teams have been decided by three points or fewer.

• The last three games between the Vikings and the Lions have stayed under the total.
