Although the Senior Bowl never invites any underclassmen, it still is the No. 1
supplier of talent to the NFL among the postseason college all-star games. Almost every
player in last years game 83 in all made NFL rosters for the 99
season, and at least 20 of those cracked the starting lineup.
The biggest edge the Senior Bowl gives prospects is that they get one week of intense
training from NFL coaches leading up to the game. Therefore, the players know what to
expect on the next level and what techniques and skills they will have to use. The players
also get showcased in front of everyone who is anyone from the NFL about 700
scouts, front-office personnel and coaches. This years Senior Bowl is on Jan. 22 in
Mobile, Ala.
What follows is an all-star team composed of NFL players who upgraded their draft stock
in either pregame practices for the Senior Bowl or in the game itself.
