It’s inevitable at some point during the football season that a team will suffer a
setback. No one knows whether it will be a devastating loss, a crucial injury or a major
disappointment. All we’re sure of is that something bad is going to happen.
While the setbacks themselves are undoubtedly significant, how players and teams deal
with them is perhaps more important. When life gives them lemons, do they make lemonade or
just walk around with a sour disposition?
What follows is Pro Football Weekly’s look at every team’s biggest
setback of the season and the aftermath of each one. Some teams have adjusted well; others
have been done in by circumstances. They are all bad breaks, but not all have been fatal.
