Week Nine fantasy football

Weekend injury update

Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000

The availability of Titans RB Eddie George for Monday night’s game against Washington will be decided just before kickoff. George sprained a ligament in his right knee early in a 14-6 win over Baltimore last week.

George participated in some drills Saturday with his right knee taped.

"If it feels good and I'm confident, then I'm going to go," George said Saturday. "If it doesn't, then I'm just not going to play. I'll just get ready for next week."

Added Titans head coach Jeff Fisher, "He worked some more of the soreness and swelling out. We'll take him out a few hours prior to kickoff, put him through the drills that we need to, and then we'll make our decision."

After suffering a concussion last week, Seattle QB Brock Huard has reportedly been placed on the inactive list for Sunday’s game against Kansas City. As a result, Jon Kitna, who also suffered a concussion during the Raiders game, will get the nod at QB with Matt Lytle as the backup. … QB Elvis Grbac has recovered from his elbow injury and will start for the Chiefs.
