Week 15 fantasy football
Weekend injury update
Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000
|
| Titans QB Steve McNairs status
for Sunday will be determined at game time. After walking with crutches and wearing a
special boot earlier in the week because of ankle and knee injuries, McNair did some
throwing on the sideline Thursday and Friday. If McNair cant go, Neil
ODonnell will get the call.
Broncos RB Mike Anderson will be ready to play Sunday against Seattle despite a
bruised left knee and thigh suffered last week. TE Desmond Clark practiced with a
more protective cast on his broken right forearm and is expected to play Sunday wearing a
smaller cast. On the flip side, Broncos coach Mike Shanahan says its possible that
QB Brian Griese may not be able to play the rest of the regular season as he
recovers from a separated right shoulder.

Jake Plummer was downgraded to doubtful for Sunday. If he cant play,
Dave Brown will get the start, with Chris Griesen in reserve.

49ers WR Terrell Owens didnt practice Friday, but theres still a
good chance that he will start Sunday.

Steelers QB Kordell Stewart practiced Friday and had no trouble with his injured
right leg. As a result, he is expected to play Sunday.

The Dolphins deactivated WR Leslie Shepherd for this weeks game because of
a knee injury. Tony Martin will start in place of Shepherd.

Browns QB Spergon Wynn wont be able to play Sunday because of a sprained
left knee, giving Doug Pederson his starting job back for this week, at least.

Although he hadnt practiced all week because of turf toe, Seahawks RB Ricky
Watters is expected to start against Denver Sunday.

Giants WR Ike Hilliard, who had been listed as questionable, practiced this week
and appears to have recovered from sternum and lung injuries.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick will decide Sunday whether to start J.R. Redmond
or Kevin Faulk at running back. Redmond has been listed as questionable with sore
ribs.

Bears WR Marty Booker will assume the starting job vacated by Marcus Robinson,
who has been lost for the rest of the season.

Jets WR Laveranues Coles practiced Friday but is still questionable for the game
at Oakland.

Colts WR E.G. Green didnt practice Friday due to a knee injury. |
