Weekend injury update

| Bears WR Marcus Robinson was released from the
hospital Friday, but he is listed as doubtful to play Sunday night against Green Bay
because of recurring back spasms. Marty Booker is expected to start in place of
Robinson. 
49ers WR Terrell Owens will be able to play Sunday with a turf-toe injury, but Jerry
Rice and J.J. Stokes will start at the WR spots, with Owens coming off the
bench.
Although Redskins WR Albert Connell may not start Sunday, he will play. RB Stephen
Davis will start despite a hairline fracture of his forearm.
After being questionable for most of the week, Miami QB Jay Fiedler and RB Lamar
Smith both are expected to start Sunday.
The Steelers placed WR Plaxico Burress on injured reserve. He has broken bones
and ligament damage in his right hand, an injury he has played with all season.
Rams FB Robert Holcombe will return from injury to start Sunday against
Carolina.
The Browns will make a game-time decision about whom to start to quarterback. Doug
Pederson, the regular starter since Tim Couch was lost for the season, has sore
ribs, and if he is unable to play, rookie Spergon Wynn will get the nod.
As we suggested in our late-week fantasy tips, Panthers RB Tshimanga Biakabutuka
will miss Sunday’s game, with rookie RB Brad Hoover starting in place of him.
However, Panthers WR Donald Hayes appears as though he will be able to go Sunday. |
