Editor's note: What follows is an excerpt from Pro Football Weekly’s Fantasy Football Guide 2000 magazine, which hits the newsstands June 27. Here we offer our analysis of Tampa Bay WR Keyshawn Johnson, who is just one of 65 wide receivers profiled in the magazine, accompanied by each receiver’s fantasy statistics for the past three years. Once a week, we'll showcase a different excerpt from the magazine on ProFootballWeekly.com.

Boom: Franks will start for an offense that has traditionally emphasized the tight end. Packers tight ends have averaged 8.2 TD catches over the last five seasons. Franks was the top-rated tight end in the 2000 draft by many teams, and he earned PFW All-America honors for his ’99 performance. Franks is a big target (6-5 5/8, 255 pounds) with good, large hands. He’s very athletic and can make circus-type catches.

Bust: Franks will have to learn the ropes quickly if he is to make an immediate impact. He lacks great deep speed and quickness, and he didn’t appear to be in very good shape at his pre-draft workout. Also, the Packers’ passing game wasn’t particularly efficient last season.

Bottom line: It’s not often that a rookie tight end has a chance to be drafted as a starter in fantasy leagues, but Franks definitely does. He couldn’t have asked for a better situation to be in, with Brett Favre throwing bullets in a TE-friendly offense. Ranking him No. 7 may seem too high, but we believe it’s not.
