Be sure to play Viking WR Randy Moss this week. Moss, whose
team visits Dallas in the second half of the Turkey Day doubleheader on Thursday, will see
more passes thrown his way with Jake Reed out of the lineup with a back injury. Moss may
not see much of Cowboy CB Deion Sanders, who is questionable with a toe injury. |
 |
If you still need to fill out a TE requirement, you might
consider Pittsburghs Mark Bruener. Bruener, whose Steelers visit the Lions in the
first Thanksgiving Day game, has caught fire of late, catching a TD pass in each of his
last two games. Bruener hadnt caught one in his first nine. He faces a Lion pass
defense that ranks in the bottom half of the league and has given up 16 TD passes. |
 |
Continuing on the TE theme, Arizonas Johnny McWilliams
takes on a Chief defense that no longer features designated TE stopper Wayne Simmons. San
Diegos Freddie Jones scored against Kansas City last week, and McWilliams has been a
surprise performer for the Cardinals this year with four TD receptions. |
 |
Baltimores Priest Holmes hasnt been the most
consistent performer, but he has done consistently well against bad run defenses. Holmes
racked up 400 yards and three TDs in two games vs. the Bengals, whose run defense is
only a notch below the Colts. Baltimore hosts Indianapolis this week. |
 |
Stay away from all St. Louis running backs this week. Not
only are they uncertain who their main back should be, but the Rams face a Falcon run
defense that ranks No. 2 in the league in yards allowed and has given up only five
touchdowns this season. |
 |
Steer clear of all New Orleans running backs this week. Head
coach Mike Ditka isnt happy with his offensive line or starting RB Lamar Smith, and
this week the Saints face the Dolphins, who have allowed only four rushing touchdowns all
season. |
