NFL draft 2000

Joel Buchsbaum's mock draft

By Joel Buchsbaum, Contributing editor
As of Saturday, April 15, 2000

What follows is Joel Buchsbaum’s latest mock draft, reflecting all trades of first-round picks through Friday.

Latest rumblings: The Jets, Packers and Raiders have all expressed interest in dealing up to the fifth overall selection. If DT Corey Simon is off the board, look for the Eagles to deal out of the sixth pick. If RB Shaun Alexander is available, the Chiefs will trade the 21st pick to Cincinnati for RB Corey Dillon. The Raiders may deal down and take PK Sebastian Janikowski at the end of the first round or the top of the second.

Because of recent workouts and other factors, West Virginia TE Anthony Becht, Southern Mississippi WR Todd Pinkston and California CB Deltha O'Neal are moving up the draft board, whereas West Texas A&M CB Kareem Larrimore, Virginia Tech CB Ike Charlton and Georgia Tech WR Dez White are falling.
