NFL draft 2000

Joel Buchsbaum's mock draft

By Joel Buchsbaum, Contributing editor
As of Thursday, April 13

What follows is Joel Buchsbaum’s latest projection of how the first round of this weekend’s NFL draft will go. This edition reflects the trades between the Jets and Buccaneers (Tampa Bay gets WR Keyshawn Johnson for the 13th and 27th overall picks) and the Broncos and Ravens (Baltimore gets the 10th overall pick in exchange for the 15th and 45th picks).

Latest rumblings: The Jets, Packers and Raiders are trying to deal up to the fifth pick. If Corey Simon is gone, look for the Eagles to deal out of the sixth spot. If RB Shaun Alexander is available, Kansas City will trade the 21st pick to Cincinnati for RB Corey Dillon.
